Note #1:
For the 1956 model year, FoMoCo introduced a number of safety features for its cars & trucks. These included the padded dash, the deep dish steering wheel and the seat belt. The seat belts could be used on the passenger cars, the Thunderbird and the Ford trucks.
Note #2:
The FoMoCo part number for the seat belt is B6A-18620. B6 -- a 1956 FoMoCo part code. The Ford Factory mounting instructions I have seen for these belts list them for both 1955 & 1956 cars and also usable of the 1952, 1953 & 1954 Fords.
Note #3:
I believe belts like these were also used on the late 1957, 1958 & 1959 Fords.
Note #4:
These belt buckles are made of a lite weight metal. There are no pits or
gouges in the metal. They should polish up and look good with a buffer.
This auction is for a used pair of 1955 & 1956 Ford Seat Belts. When you look at the pictures, you will see that these belts BOTH have the FoMoCo logo cast into the back side of the belt buckle. These are for sure original Ford belts. There are two matching belts in the auction. The buckles seem to be made of aluminum it is likely they will clean up and polish up. All the the belts have metal tips on the ends. These belts have not been cut. They are only original once and these Ford seat belts are original and the real thing.
