NewThere's a new squishy-cute baby in town, and it's a Hess truck.
Little ones no longer have to wait until they turn 3 years old to start their Hess truck collection. As of Monday, Feb. 3, they can start playing with a plush Hess fire engine that is safe for all ages and still has lots of bling.
Press the Hess logo on the hood of the smiley truck and you'll hear a Dad-like voice singing truck-themed variations on “The Wheels on the Bus” and “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” while LED lights flash. You can stop the music and lights by squeezing the hood again.
The 2020 plush Hess truck is ready to play with your baby.
There's also a mute feature that cancels the sing-song (thank you, Hess), but lets the lights flash.
Squeeze the white light on the roof of the truck and lights will go into "nightlight mode," remaining lit for 15 minutes.
"My First Hess Truck" is labeled for 2020 on the packaging and the truck's license plate reads "HESS 2020," hinting that this may be the first in a collectible series. The toy would also make a good baby shower gift this year.
Unlike the traditional Hess trucks for older kids, the plush fire engine can be tossed around without much risk to the user or the toy. The battery compartment is screwed shut and sewn onto the body of the truck, accessible through a hook-and-loop fastener so that parents can turn the sound on or off.
