Charleen Kinser Forever Toys Leather Gnome Tom Griswold 2 All ID NOSS

This auction is for an incredible leather gnome, Tom Griswold, all 25” of him!  His sculpted head and Fingered hands are leather and I assume his feet might be also..and I can feel toes....I have never taken his shoes and socks off. He is an older gnome, (male pattern baldness, slight paunch) and so very wise!  His cloth body sports a red union suit with a vest, red leather shoes with red multi colored socks, and leather pouch. head and legs are jointed, glass eyes. This Tom still has his original HAT!  Most times it is missing by now.  The feather is 30 years old and somewhat showing its age.  Tom’s booklet has his very own story...as only Charleen and her super wonderful imagination could tell. He has never been out always stored and is in like new condition.  There are a couple of tiny spots...one on his head and one on his nose..., no medallion, Charleen
has put his date and number (1989,#222) on the back of one of his ears.  The last picture was found on line and used By me solely to show an older catalog (?) example.  Neither the Tom pictured nor the picture are included in the sale of
the Tom I have listed for sale in this auction.
Charleen’s
work is always clever, fun and
beautifully made. I found both parents and collectors were always excited to see any new work I got of hers to add to their collection.  Tom is part of my extensive remaining Kinser inventory (I kept one for myself..(he is very special!) and is new old store stock stored in my non smoking home.  I will be listing other wonderful Kinser creations in separate auctions..  I have been in the collectible doll and bear business from the late 1980’s to the early 2000’s, setting up at bear shows and listing on eBay (as cmporter) until I had to stop because of health issues.  During my time on eBay, I had earned over 1100 positive feedbacks all of which disappeared when I had to change my user name because of a major hack.  I think the pictures should give a true representation of this handsome fellow, but if you need to see more pictures of her please email and let me know.
