: This charming cup and saucer set has the backstamp of England's Royal Standard company, which produced wonderful china between 1949 and 1966.
The company was founded in 1916 as Chapmans Longton Ltd, Albert Works, in Longton, Staffordshire. The Royal Standard brand was launched in 1949 and the company closed in 1966.
Design
: The pattern - called Fascination - features a blue/green band with white leaves encircling a center medallion.
Size
: The cup is 3 3/4 inches wide at the opening and 2 1/2 inches tall. The saucer is 5 3/4 inches wide.
Condition
: Both pieces are in overall excellent condition with no nicks, chips, scratches, cracks or repairs. There is embedded dirt on the cup rim and both pieces have significant crazing. It can be seen by enlarging the photos.
