The May thrush and the lucky flower, the Convallaria majalis, of the Liliac family. Its Botanicl  name tells us that this small perennial of about 30 cm, grows in May in the valleys. From there it is sometimes called "Lils of the Valleys," as its name in English; Lily of the valley.
Muguet  is found spontaneously in the wet limestone undergrowth of the Northern Hemisphere. In our gardens it is cultivated as a ground cover, thus lining a place in the shade or half shade. By its rhizome tracing, often called claw, thrush can become invasive. It can be potted and decorated with a corner table inside or on the balcony. It can also be used to dress up a shady spot on your terrace.
