Here is a beautifully restored 1950's Gamewell SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT,  COUNTY JAIL Call Box Telephone from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company.
This is NOT a replica Call Box. However, new professionally manufactured metal name plates were used to complete the Sheriff's Department Call Box.
The Call Box Telephone was made by the Gamewell Company and
is made of cast aluminum (herculite).  It
has a Black Powder Coated Finish (baked on enamel) with professional hand painted White lettering.
Inside the Call Box is a 1930-40's Western Electric Model 211 Telephone that has been converted for use on today's telephone system. The older style Western Electric "F-1" Handset is made of bakelite and includes a Cloth Covered Handset Cord. The Call Box Telephone includes the Front Door Lock and Brass Key.
The Sheriff's Department  Call Box Telephone also features a working Top Light Assembly with a Cobalt Blue Globe. The top light makes a great night light for your office, game room, den or other special area. The top light is controlled by an "on - off" line cord switch and plugs into a regular household AC outlet . Please note, a "VOIP" (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Telephone System such as Vonage or other Internet carrier will require a converter, not provided in this auction. This Call Box Telephone will work fine with "regular" telephone service without a converter..
The Sheriff's Department Call Box Telephone has a one year limited warranty from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company and has been professionally restored for "INDOOR USE ONLY".
